- Patient-Linac Collision Detection Tool for Radiation Therapy
Duncan has completed his Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Computer Science at UBC Okanagan. He took a Medical Imaging course taught by Dr. Rasika Rajapakshe and Dr. Cynthia Araujo in his third year and in the summer of 2014 began working in the Early Detection lab. Duncan has worked alongside radaition therapists and planners to create collision detection software to prevent collisions between the radiation treatment machine and patients, and his honors thesis focused on the visualization of breast cancer outcomes in BC. Outside of work Duncan enjoys many sports, including soccer and surfing when he visits his home town in Hawaii, and playing guitar.
