  • Siamese neural network for early detection of breast cancer using longitudinal screening mammograms

Prior to joining the Early Detection Lab, Tammy was previously involved in HIV bioinformatics research building programs simulating viral evolution in London, Ontario. She was accepted to the UBC Southern Medical Program (SMP) in Kelowna and turned her focus towards machine learning applications in medical imaging. She received a Summer Studentship Research Program scholarship to start a project with the Early Detection team. In her free time, Tammy enjoys gardening, hiking, and being out on the water on a paddleboard.
